Visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, Wren's 18th-century astronomical observatory and striking local landmark. Home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Prime Meridian of the world and London’s Planetarium. Stand on the Prime Meridian Line. Cutting right through the Royal Observatory, the historic Prime Meridian of the World marks the point from all distances east and west are measured.
Students can meet our Student Officers at our Docklands campus, outside the front of the Students' Union building, for a DLR/Underground journey to the meeting point. The group will start to Cyprus DLR station at 13:45. You'll need to pay your own travel costs.
You can also meet us at the venue. The full address of the meeting point is Blackheath Avenue, London, SE10 8XJ. Look for the main reception at the Observatory. Arrive by 14:45.
Wear comfortable shoes and in the event of hot weather, take a bottle of water.
