Take a pause from the noise and learn simple breathing techniques designed to calm your mind and body.
Take a pause from the noise and learn simple breathing techniques designed to calm your mind and body. As part of Health Gain Month and Stuti's Five Steps of Wellbeing project (being in present moment), this workshop is designed to help you slow down and learn a few simple tools you can use when things feel overwhelming.
In this guided session, you’ll practise easy-to-follow breathing exercises that can help reduce everyday anxiety, manage exam stress, and gently prepare you for a better night’s sleep. You’ll leave with practical tools you can use anywhere — before studying, in bed, or during overwhelming moments.
The workshop focuses on understanding how breathing affects the nervous system and how small changes in breath can quickly shift you from tension to relaxation. This is not a yoga class, and the exercises you’ll learn require little to no physical movement. No prior experience needed — just come as you are and give yourself time to unwind.
Whether you’re struggling to switch off, feeling the pressure of deadlines, or simply want to relax more deeply, this session offers a supportive space to slow down, reset, and recharge.
The class will be delivered whilst sitting and laying on the floor. Mats will be provided and there are some cushions available on a first come, first served basis. Please feel free to bring your own mats and cushions. Chairs can be provided for those who need them.
