I am Poornima Pawar, a 23 year old lawyer from India, pursuing my post graduation in LLM International Law and Legal Practice. I'll be one of contenders to be the next UEL delegate for the NUS National Conference.
Having been an Indian Representative at the United Nations youth assembly at UN headquarters in New York and also at the Commonwealth Youth Summit held at Nottingham university in Malaysia and also been chosen for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations at Harvard University in Boston, USA, I possess exceptional international representational experience and ability to present ideas and work amongst a global community, which will be very helpful in putting our best foot forward at the NUS annual conferences. I have previously represented UEL at the UNAOC global forum 2018 at the UN headquarters in New York and have also been invited for the upcoming UN ECOSOC forum.
I come from a legal background and hence my passion for international law, diplomacy and policy making has helped me acquire knowledge and expertise in field that I wish to contribute and share with my fellow students at UEL and understand their views and difficulties to be able to voice their opinions and demands and try to contribute into the progress and improvement of the University of East London.
I assure you all to be promising, worthy and deserving for this position and that I will try to bring laurels to the name of University of East London by my harwork and efficient representation.
