Course representative elections - information for staff

This page is for staff only.

All student information will be published at eastlondonsu.com/elections by Sunday 22 September. Students should be directed to that page only.

The information below is provided to help staff to promote the course representative elections during welcome week and the start of term one.

    Supporting documentation

We have provided slides which explain the process for students and course leaders. PowerPoint | PDF

It is important that students are aware that the in-person training is mandatory. Failure to attend will result in being removed as the course rep. The dates and times will be published on the page for students.

There is no option for course leaders to organise an in-class election. Apart from those noted in the slides, all courses must follow the same process. This is a key point of the agreement between the Students' Union and the University.

Video 1: applying to be a course rep

This video is to be advertised to students in all schools and levels during welcome week and teaching week one. It is also available on eastlondonsu.com/elections to make it easy to show to students.

Video 2: how to vote for your course rep

A second video on how to vote - and why it's important - will be provided to course leaders before the voting period starts. This is to help staff to promote voting during teaching weeks two and three.
