Shelter

Shelter is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing.

Shelter provide advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.

Shelter’s website has an exhaustive base of advice on housing issues. We refer students to Shelter for more specialist advice.

Citizens Advice Bureau

The Citizens Advice Bureau aim to “provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives”.

Citizens Advice provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities.

UEL Law & Social Sciences Law Clinic

The Legal Advice Centre is part of UEL School of Law and Social Sciences.

 It is an educational facility for students and an advice service to members of the public.

The Law Centre provides free legal advice to the East London community to those who are unable to pay for such legal services or obtain legal advice under the legal aid.

We refer students to the Law Clinic for more specialist legal advice.
