Students' Union student training days

We will be hosting training sessions for our new student group committees, course representatives, and school representatives on Thursday 5 June 2025. The sessions will take place in the Arthur Edwards building at our Stratford campus. 

There are a variety of training sessions on offer: 

• Leadership 

• Teamwork 

• Communication 

• Leading/chairing a meeting 

• Risk assessment writing 

• Event and activity planning 

• Project planning 

• Inclusivity and accessibility 

• Budgeting and financial planning 

• Understanding Students’ Union processes, support structures and staff 

Attendance at some of the sessions is compulsory – this will vary for each role. Other sessions are optional, but recommended. 

All sessions will take place between 09:00 and 17:00, and you should plan to be in attendance for the whole day.

It’s also the perfect chance to meet other student group committees, Students’ Union staff, course representatives, and school representatives.
