Introduction

The society is based around Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our aim is to bring awareness and spread knowledge about the topic of SEND, as well as the political and social issues surrounding it. Our intention will be to raise awareness of topics such as funding for schools, colleges, and universities and have guest speakers come in and speak to students who are studying subjects such as Special Education and Education Studies about what help from charities is available for children, young people and adults who may come under the SEND category.

In addition to this, as a way of raising money for the society so it could be funded, we would host charity events and fairs to spread the message and awareness of SEND, as well as having a fun time in doing so.

Mission Statement:

“SEND and Inclusion needs to be voiced, the SEND Society is here to do that now…We are here to educate, create awareness and provide knowladge of SEND and Inclusion with all the benefits and challenges it has faced in recent years. We will not be put off by negitivity, but will fight for what is right!”
