Help shake off some of those January blues at our feelgood film night.
The movie is about Will Hunting, a stubborn, working-class man who is struggling with the trials and tribulations of life, having experienced numerous encounters with the police. He is also harbouring a secret mathematical genius, brought to the surface after being discovered whilst working on parole as a janitor at MIT.
Forced to deal with his past by a therapist who sees potential in him, Will discovers that he is the only hurdle to his happiness and success.
Please be aware that whilst the film has a feelgood ending, it does explore topics such as poor mental health, bereavement and abuse.
If you’ve found January to be a difficult time of year for your wellbeing, why not consider support from the following:
• Speak with a Samaritan
• Contact a support service using the Mental Health Foundation’s list of services
• Review the University’s Student Wellbeing Service
Remember, mental health matters on every day of the year.
