Plant pot painting

Monday 15 September 2025 - noon - 1pm
Students' Union front room, Arthur Edwards building, Stratford

Join us for a relaxed drop-in session where you can take home your very own succulent in a personalised pot!

Get creative at our plant pot painting station and craft a keepsake for your first classroom after graduation. You'll receive an adoption certificate for your new plant, perfect for proudly displaying in your future teaching space — a small reminder of how far you’ve come.

Like your students will one day do, watch your plant grow — slowly, steadily, and with care. Let it serve as a symbol of your own development as a teacher: rooting yourself in knowledge, adapting to challenges, and nurturing young minds along the way.

You’ll have access to a wide variety of colourful ceramic paint pens to decorate your mini pot. Once you're happy with your design, simply give it a quick coat of craft varnish to seal your artwork and make it classroom-ready.

There is also a community you can join for tips on how to care for your plant whilst looking after yourself during your studies.

All items and supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and due to limited quantities, we’re only able to offer one plant and pot per person. We’re unable to reserve items in advance.

This is a drop-in event designed to fit into your lunch break — stay for as little or as long as you like. We just ask that food is kept away from the crafting tables.
