Degree award gap Q&A

Thursday 20 October 2022 - 2pm - 3pm
Docklands, SD.1.12

Pippa Evans, education officer, is hosting a session about the degree awarding gap in the University. This is the difference between the proportion of first class and upper second-class honours (2.1) degrees being awarded to white students and Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic community (BAME) students. This gap has existed for many years. The Students’ Union believes the University should be doing more to tackle this problem and ensuring all students graduate with the degree they deserve.

Come along to hear what University senior managers are doing to eliminate the gap and to ask them questions. The session will take place in Docklands on Thursday 20 October (14:00-15:00). You can submit a question in advance (here), but this is not compulsory.
